Active (Max/Min CD: 15/6):
For 1 Round, Light Attack and Recovery x 2; when all Members have the same Attack basic value, all Runestones also possess 50% effect of other Attributive Runestones.

If there are 4 or more Races in the Team, Light Attack x 4.5.

Team Skill:
When both leader and ally are Transcendental Sage - Tang Sanzang,
1) Attack basic value of all Members will synchronize with that of the Member that has the highest Attack.
2) Recovery of all Members will synchronize with that of the Member that has the highest Recovery.
3) Drop rate of Runestones of Leader's Attribute increases 25%.
4) Light Attack x 1.5 additionally.

We can clearly see that this card is designed as a leader card.
When both leader and ally are Tang Sanzang (TSZ) and the team have 4 or more races, the team will have 30.375x for Light attack, drop rate of Light runes will become 25% and most important, ATK and RCR of all cards will follow that of the highest member.


1) When cards like Michael Lucifer or Tang Yurou's active is used, the card will be able to absorb ATK as usual but TSZ will not be able synchronize the post-absorption ATK, so not only it does not increase total ATK, it will also weaken active of TSZ since ATK are no longer synchronized.
2) Fusion card's stats are calculated as normal without the synchronization and the final ATK and RCR can be synchronized to all other cards in the team!!! Since fusion card typically have double the amount of stats, a fusion will drastically improve the team stats.


When we are choosing team members for TSZ team, here are some criteria we will consider.
1) Final race count of the team must be 4 or more.
2) How useful the active is for the team.
3) Does the card have extremely high ATK or RCR to help the synchronization.
4) Low stats in ATK and RCR are negligible since it can be covered back by other cards.

Some cards are simply too niche to cover 1 by 1.

With this, here we go.


Fusion simply works too well in TSZ team, have to put them in the first category.

Imagine all 5 cards in the team have the same ATK and RCR as this, the stats is simply crazy. Definitely the most recommended card for the team. Its converter and crowd control actives are also very good.

The actives are not as good as Minamoto Fusion but it can still provides a massive boost in term of stats. An advantage of her is she can fuse after just 2 turns which can be crucial in some battle. Its HP is also very good.

Absorption is not welcomed in TSZ team as it weakens leader and ally's active. You can still use ML for converter active but once again being a god means he is not favorable.

The 6th starter, basically a better starter except that she has a slightly longer initial CD.


TSZ is basically a Light leader designed to counter against the current Light team meta which is over-relying on ML. With TSZ, many Light Cards that are rarely used due to incompatibility with ML are getting chances.

In general, a TSZ team will have a fusion card for ATK and RCR. For the remaining 2 slots, Beast and Dragon are recommended due to their high HP. Also take note that base stats do not matter too much in TSZ team, so cards like little witches can also be used without affecting the team stats.

Another one to keep in mind is Inheritance Paladin Overlord and his active, it is a JO card but if you don't use Lisa fusion he can work nicely.

Well, his active is simply inferior to that of TSZ.

Both have all runes have 50% effect of other runes, but TSZ comes with CD6 and 2x Light ATK.

Tsz can also use echantress.
Even the power only 5/6 but by adding any enchantress can easily multiply by 2 or more.

Niche card that is able to activate at turn 2 when the CD is max. 
Most of the TOS old players should have this Luno in their inventory.

Monster's Attack is multiplied by the no. of accumulated Rounds for 1 Round (dissolving Runestones is necessary), to the max x 8. The multiplier will reset after activation.

Was really lucky to draw this recently.

Does anyone know if the Lisa fusion Amel 3 works with TSZ?
I don't see why it wouldn't but would like to make sure before I spend souls.
The Amel in question:
A Light Damage of accumulated Rounds (Runestones must be dissolved) x 20,000 will be dealt to all enemies, to the max 100,000. If the Skill is activated when accumulation reaches the max, Monster's Attack x 4. Accumulation resets when the skill is activated.

I also think Mothman would be a pretty good team member with up to 5212 monster damage while the active is sustained.
Mothman Active:
Monster's Attack x 4; HP will be recovered by 10% of total HP at the beginning of each Round starting from the next Round onwards. The effects stay in play until not all the Earth Runestones on the screen are dissolved (only the first batch of Runestones dissolved will be counted).

We'd still have 5 light members vs the 5.1 with a fusion, but this would also open up the team comp to include one God since they seem to have the better converters (Also, Yan).
Downside would be that it takes 2 turns longer to activate than Minamoto fusion and the risk of deactivation?
