You basically have 10 lives (subject to change). Make a wrong guess and you lose 1. If you guess for a vowel and call it wrong, you lose 2 lives. Reach 0 lives and it's game over. You can throw in a theme to help things out or just a few letters. If a poster guesses the last letter(s) of the puzzle correctly or solved it entirely, they get to create the next puzzle within 24 hours of the correct answer being announced. Also, penalty for guessing the puzzle is -3 lives. If the lives reach 0, the puzzle setter can set a new puzzle again.
These are the default game rules.
So what happens when the puzzle is guessed correctly or the last probable letter is revealed? The person to guess the puzzle answer becomes the new puzzle setter.
Anyone can become the new puzzle setter if any of the following occurs:
- The puzzle is set and no one guesses or calls a letter within 24 hours of the last post
- The puzzle setter doesn't confirm the answer within 24 hours of the last post
- The puzzle setter gives away his opportunity to set a new puzzle
- I barge in to set a new puzzle for some anal reason
The only instance where the puzzle is given to a new person is if by playing the lives rule, the lives reach 0 and the puzzle setter can set a new puzzle again.
On administrative notes, you should quote the respective posts to send a notification to that person, just in case they forget.
So let's get this started.
