Strategies


Overview : This stage is of a nightmare calibre - no doubt of its difficulty but definitely much easier now with all the emergence of strong cards compared to when this stage came the first time around.


Feel free to correct any mistakes that I make Smile.

Battle by battle breakdown (catered for offensive teams in general)
 

Battle 1: Storing actives stage - only if you'd manage not to deal any damage to their measly 10k-12k HP of course , Tongue .
Battle 2: Now, this is a more proper stalling stage. Quickly take down either 2 and proceed to stall till your actives are up. 
Battle 3: Here comes our first hurdle, the advice is to kill it asap. Use 1 or 2 actives if needed. 
Battle 4: Also another possible stalling stage - only more risky and dangerous. Why? Both Slashers possesses a defence of 200k, which isn't considered very low but might be a problem for some teams that is lacking in the raw damage output. Situational but you should be safe should you at least take out 1 of 'em.
Battle 5: If you're going pure offensive then this is bad news (unless your team boasts high recovery). You might want to bring CC/ shield active cards for added safety.
Battle 6: The ideal way to tackle this stage is definitely to wipe them both at once.  Once either inherits the stats of their partner, the attack will shoot up to 16,134. Make sure you can have that much HP as insurance. I'd suggest to deal with the Dark attribute one that has higher defence. You might want to do a mini burst here. 
Battle 7: Your spinning skills as a summoner will be put into test here. If you can't spin 7 combos consecutively, 6 is actually good enough, at worst - 5. A starter would do wonders here. Also, another active stalling stage but one with much,much greater risks of getting KO'd should you screw up even one bit.
Battle 8: Very straightforward. Take it down in 3 turns or face your inevitable death(really). 
Battle 9: You can slowly grind through but best to not drag it too long as it might be dangerous with all the masked runes clumped all over. 
Battle 10: After a string of enemies with tough to handle actives , you'd be wondering that it'll only get much worst in boss' stage. Half right, half wrong. However, 11k at a CD of 1 is still a massive pressure to many teams + the burn trail that adds up to the torture. Go all out or go home , hah. If your team's recovery is high then it's possible to stall for quite a bit.


Orthodox offensive team recommendations w/strategy (for every COLOUR) 

Bablyons- yes. Steamroll through almost everything! Oh, bring a sniper maybe for battle 5?
That said, not going to cover on Babylons since they are so flexible. 

Greeks - a yes, too. Not the most stable available option , but it gets the job done - for all attributes.

Walkthrough for Norse is available - referring to Loki. 

Giemsa R/G/B team very well possible, too! 

PR Starters not necessary if you're confident in your spinning skills Tongue


Disclaimer: Please take the strategy with a grain of salt. I'll try to update it once I test them myself. 

Water

Battle 1: Sweep
Battle 2: Kill 2 and store
Battle 3: Kill a.s.a.p - Pisces
Battle 4: Aim the Dark one - Ao Guang
Battle 5: Laugh (lololol)
Battle 6: Pisces+ Carrie , don't forget that the Dark one has 240k defence. Either way, HP should be enough to tank even if they inherits.
Battle 7: Molly + Ao Guang if available. Can store first if not ready. Just don't spin too less combos.
Battle 8: Dragonic Compulsion is your good friend. Use it maybe when it's on CD 2 to accumulate runes while also doing extra damage on the previous turn and go for the kill the next. Oh, don't forget about Carrie
Battle 9: Grind
Battle 10: Try to get DC back up before bursting? Otherwise, I think a converter+Molly+Carrie should also be do the trick.

Overall, I feel like it's going to be easier with Daji since it's just that good.

Battle 3: Kill a.s.a.p w/ Scrubia and maybe Molly if thing's get outta hand.
Battle 4: Prepare board and aim the Dark one (hopefully exceeding 200k). Worst scenario, Beowulf.  Edit: Pretty darn difficult to breakthrough Earth slashers' defense (based on my experience). Just go Beowulf!
Battle 5: Laugh(lolol)
Battle 6: Never did calculations, but if HP not enough to tank - make sure you kill both in one go. I activated Beowulf again here ._. 
Battle 7: Scrubia + Molly 
Battle 8: Few turns to accumulate Water runes and burst with Daji , activate DC for more insurance (your choice)
Battle 9: Grind through, stall back your actives - Daji not really necessary. Edit: Real easy, normal spin can already kiss goodbye to Loki.
Battle 10: Beowulf+Douman+Molly+Scrubia?? Use whatever actives you have. The first 2 would already be sufficient actually. Possible to store too. But with the fire trail things get a 'lil dangerous. 





Fire

Use Poppy's active whenever in danger.

Battle 1: Sweep

Battle 3: Nezha 
Battle 4: Prepare board and aim Earth slasher.
Battle 5: Laugh (lolol)
Battle 6: No idea if HP is sufficient but if it's not then make sure you kill both at once.
Battle 7: Sean + Nezha 
Battle 8: Prepared board + DC (store runes). If not dead, use stored runes to advantage. 
Battle 9: Grind , possibly storing back your actives.
Battle 10: Store, make use of Poppy and Cthugha. Achilles + Nezha + Sean/DC.

Smoother ride with Daji as ally instead, I suppose.

Earth

Not too sure if this setup works but it's worth a try. Also, not too familiar with Earth teams myself so anyone who've cleared with Earth teams please do share your setup and strategy!

Battle 1: Sweep

Battle 2: Kill 2 and store
Battle 3: Elemental disadvantage , Rapa Nui + DBK.
Battle 4: Fusion. Use Mark II's active to defence break those 2 slashers.
Battle 5: Snipe and go for the kill next turn.
Battle 6: Did not do calculations but if HP not enough to tank then kill both at once.  Make use of DC to inflict bonus damage and store runes.
Battle 7: Duncan BUT would prefer if you would actually stall a 'lil ><.
Battle 8: Rapa Nui + DBK.
Battle 9: Recovery of this team is pretty high thanks to 2 elves but nevertheless, try to grind through. Fingers crossed. DC if things get ugly. 
Battle 10: Mark II + DBK + Daji + DC (whatever actives is up) tl;dr - all out.

Light

*Left out Dionsyus but well, more or less similar strategy so yeahhh.

If you have another maxed Minamoto, you might want to use that too replacing Dionsyus.


Update: Nathaniel replacing Dionsyus for stability in R7 unless you're like a boss with your spinning skills, heh.

Not forgetting PR Virgo's active is now also a 1.5x booster! Try to reduce spinning in set of 5 , spread it out, increase your combo count whenever Virgo is activated so you maximise the active fully.

Battle 1: Sweep

Battle 2: Kill 2 and store.
Battle 3: Activate ML. Can try if just pure spinning would be able to bring Achilles down. Dionsyus+Minamoto would be always there just in case.
Battle 4: Prepare board. Virgo and spin your best.
Battle 5:  Laugh (lololol).
Battle 6: HP should be able to tank so no worries if you did not manage to kill 'em both in 1 shot but it's best if you do.
Battle 7: Woopsie doopsie, just realised I forgot to include Nathaniel. Minamoto+Nathaniel / grind through if you didn't bring Nathaniel. Yep.
Battle 8:  Might wanna use Luna here coupled with DC. At max, CD is at 8 so not too tough to get it back up. For those with Luna not at max SLV, I think it's still possible but with more hassle , of course.
Battle 9: Grind through, while also trying to store your actives at the same time.
Battle 10: Grind if some actives still not up and go all out.

This team relies on your spinning skills a lot. Fuse only after R9 when your HP dips to a dangerous level. Quite a popular setup but since I do not have Cassandra, I never have actual experience so my walkthrough is well, theorycrafting.

Battle 1: Sweep
Battle 2: Kill 2 and store.
Battle 3: Activate Cassandra + Xi and you might just take it out in one go.
Battle 4: 200k defense no sweat now that you're on steroids.
Battle 5: Snipe (elemental advantage) so 1 snipe is all you need.
Battle 6: Might wanna prepare board before you sweep. 
Battle 7: Endor (prioritising both Light and Dark runes)
Battle 8: 3 turns should be enough, I say should. Worst come to worst, DC?
Battle 9: Few turns for you to take him down (utilise the HP recovery by fusing Lisa+ partner) DC also usable here.
Battle 10: Lisa+Daji + DC.

Dark

.. brain cells dead after so much typing, can't think of anything else other than Artemis/Namtar. 
Anyone up for good ol' Loki? Applicable for other attribute Norse too, actually as it's more or less the same.

Battle 3: SGB first. If not dead, few more turns to spare.
Battle 4: SGB should be back up anytime soon. Until then, prepare your board.
Battle 5: Make use of Pollux and DC. Try not to use DC unless you have no choice.
Battle 6: Prepare board, DC to store runes. If DC used previously, SGB maybe?
Battle 7: Endor with SGB. Might wanna store a 'lil if actives aren't up. 
Battle 8: Loki+Odin's linked skill. 2 more turns to whip. 
Battle 9: Pollux is your great friend here again while making your way through. HP isn't exactly low and unlike other recovery teams, you'll suffer a 'lil here so do not drag too long. 
Battle 10: Loki+Odin + Daji + DC / Odin (at low HP) + SGB + Daji + DC.



Grind team recommendations

Therefore it goes like Dionsyus as the leader and Wukong as the ally.

Starter is like a must for Battle 7 if you want to use Hades as leader/ally.  Edit: Since you actually need Ed's skill for Battle 8, you just might want to use Verdandi to leech it all. 

Of course, you are not limited to these teams only but these are the more famous ones. 
Some worth mentioning factors to take not of : 

Make sure your important actives are all up before Battle 3/8 as you would need to kill them a.s.a.p as stalling is not an option.
For all the other battles, just grind 'em. Burst whenever you want. 

If you are not using Ed the Necrophilia (Basti perhaps) or anything else, make sure you can at least burst more than 3million for Battle 7 if not then it's a red light for your grind team.

Standard Faugn/Daji team clearing NM. not much difficulty with the addition of DC. mainly if you are using this team, it is mainly about storing water ds cd at the right stage and bursting

Just did a 3* achievement for NM with Light Babylon

Inanna + ML + Luna + PR Yan + Pinnochio + Inanna
Activate ML ASAP
R1 - just kill, way too little hp to stall
R2 - don't spin column, kill the two dark gnomes and grind on the fire one.
R3 - Spin columns and kill in 3 turns, quite easy for Babylon
R4 - Aim at the dark one and spin columns, it is easy to break the defense especially with ML on, else, 200k defense is not difficult for Babylon to break as well.
R5 - If all skills are ready, just use Pinnochio, else, stall until you cannot last anymore before you use Pinnochio
R6 - With ML on, just spin columns and you can kill both easily.
R7 - Spin normal 3-3 instead of columns for more combo, it is quite easy to grind here provided you can make 6 combos every turn.
R8 - Activate PR Yan and kill it in 3 turns, it is easy especially with attribute advantage.
R9 - Activate Luna and Inanna, spin and use DC, filter as many Light runes as possible, score does not matter here since it will be overkill easily. I use destruction craft here, connection/reflection is also okay.
R10 - Activate another Inanna and just make as many columns as you can with the tons of Light runes you have, easily overkill as well.

When in round 3 and 7, using the above team. Do i turn on Ed, Doumon, Horned King and followed by Daji?
Just curious if Doumon active will be transferred to Ed.

For those that are looking to farm Saruman, doing his SM is really, really safe with Wukong AmeIV. I used Fong Tian Ling/HK/Douman/Ed/Verd/PR Wukong, and I can literally tank all six hits of his attacks. Just remember to burst at R4, and save up ample of heart rune at R6 if your Verd is only at 1st stack.

just a quick question, if i feed a mix of saruman and its pr mat to pr saruman, will i get the 100% slvl up?
saruman has the full heal while pr mat has the ATK and RCR boost and PR Saruman has both.

I dont think so. Iirc the rule is 5 cards must have the same skill. Feeding a mix would not trigger the 100% slvl up. You can try though, for science!

Known Issue:
- 5 ★ "Paladin King of Light" and 7 ★ "Saruman the Lord of Demons" cannot perform skill level up when consumed 8 ★ "Evil Overlord Saruman".

Well, found this in TOS facebook page...I shall keep the copies until someone confirm the mix feeding, btw, who will actually feed a PR Saruman to PKOL/pre PR Saruman...It may be a typo by MH and it might be "consumed by" instead of "consumed"

Yes Smile , you can always grind it back. As for Douman's active , it does transfer if it is place in adjacent to Ed !
